Olympic Weightlifting Style Professional Development Seminar
Hercules Weightlifting Club is pleased to offer a seminar on Olympic weightlifting to help you develop as an athlete and coach. Our seminars are instructed by internationally experienced coaching staff and are based on the methodologies developed by the Polish National Weightlifting Team. This is an exclusive opportunity to learn about the success behind the Polish weightlifting system and apply the new knowledge to take your own lifting or coaching to the next level.

Example Seminar Structure:
In this unique seminar we will:
- Present an overview of the Polish weightlifting training system
- Present an annual periodization model used by advanced athletes, based on Mirek’s actual training program from his Polish National Team training
- Teach fundamentals of Polish weightlifting technique using coach Mirek’s learning progression for the snatch and the clean & jerk
- Practice this style of lifting alongside Eric while receiving instructions from Mirek
Attendees should prepare for an active day of practical work separated by lectures. Competitive athletes will also have an opportunity to perform the snatch and the clean & jerk under actual working loads and receive feedback, coaching and corrections throughout the day.
Individuals may attend our seminars for educational purposes without testing for certification. There are no pre-requisites for attending the seminar.
Seminar Agenda
12:00 noon – 1:00 pm – introduction and technical descriptions of the snatch and the clean & jerk
1:00 pm – 2:30 pm – practical experience, the snatch, individual evaluations
2:30 pm – 3:00 pm – nutritional break (refreshments provided)
3:00 pm – 4:00 pm – Polish training system overview, advanced periodization model
4:00 pm – 5:30 pm – practical experience, the clean & jerk, individual evaluations
5:30 pm – 6:00 pm – open discussion, seminar wrap up
